Recorded on a day off during the first Jenny Don't And The Spurs tour of Australia in 2022. Side A is an original, Side B is a cover of the mighty Dead Moon.

In 2022 we got a request from our friend Kieren (Schkeuditzer Kreuz) to help out a touring band with some dates in Oz. A Western band featuring members of The Wipers and Pierced Arrows? Sure that makes sense. In news that will surprise no one it turns out this group, from Portland, Oregon had more mutual friends than we could count.

We got to work on some dates and quickly learned we were looking at the real deal here; They were enthusiastic about playing smaller, regional towns and were up for playing some mixed bills.

The band flew over, hit the road (with logistical support from Heartsville) and started winning over hearts across the country. This is a band that knows how to put on a show. And playing in a genre that has been Cosplayed to death by Australians it was something else to see this band sweat it out with such a genuine authenticity and passion.

On their only day “off” on tour they hit Sound Recordings and lay down two tracks with Alex Bennett. Which is what brings us here:

The 100% analogue workflow of Sound Recordings suits this band just perfectly. They’ve cranked out a banging original and a respectful cover of the mighty Dead Moon. If that’s not a quality 45 we will eat our hat!

All this is packaged in hand screen printed covers and released in time for their triumphant return to Oz/NZ in 2023! The band will have “Tour Only” Editions for sale at shows (on coloured wax) and we’re offering this version via mail order and Magnetic South Distribution - all versions hand screen printed by us in the garage.
